How do I arrange cleaning in my area?

Getting started is simple. Contact us or book a home visit and we’ll talk through the cleaning you’re looking for, your location and your preferred schedule. We’ll then confirm availability and explain the next steps.

Are all of your cleaning services available in every area?

Most of our cleaning services are available throughout our main service area, although availability can vary depending on the location and the type of service required. If you tell us where you live and what help you’re looking for, we’ll confirm what we can provide in your area.

Is cleaning availability the same in every area?

Availability can vary depending on your location, the type of cleaning you need, how often you would like us to visit and our current schedules. When you enquire, we’ll check availability in your area and talk you through the options we can offer.

Do you cover villages and rural areas around Scunthorpe?

Yes. As well as Scunthorpe itself, we provide cleaning across a number of surrounding villages and communities. If your village isn’t shown on our Areas We Cover page, please get in touch — we may still be able to help.

How do I check if you cover my postcode?

If you’re unsure whether we cover your address, simply get in touch and let us know your postcode. We’ll check whether we currently provide cleaning in your area and let you know what options are available.

What areas do you cover?

Freedom Cleaning provides home cleaning services across Scunthorpe and the surrounding area, including Messingham, Brigg, Winterton, Scotter, Kirton in Lindsey, Hibaldstow, Broughton, Scawby, Appleby, Burringham and Burton upon Stather.

We may also be able to support households in other nearby villages, so if your location isn’t listed, please get in touch and we’ll check whether we can help.

How much does regular home cleaning cost?

Regular home cleaning is charged based on the amount of cleaning time required and how frequently you would like us to visit. We’ll discuss your home and requirements with you beforehand and clearly confirm the cost before your cleaning service begins.

Is your carpet and upholstery cleaning specialist insured?

Yes. Our carpet and upholstery cleaning is carried out by a trusted specialist associate who holds appropriate insurance for the work they undertake.

Who carries out your carpet and upholstery cleaning?

Our carpet and upholstery cleaning is carried out by a trusted specialist associate who works alongside Freedom Cleaning. We’ve chosen to work with an experienced specialist so our customers receive the right knowledge, equipment and cleaning methods for carpets and upholstery.

Freedom Cleaning remains your point of contact when arranging the service, and we’ll make it clear who will be attending your home before the appointment.

What happens if an item cannot safely be ironed?

We’ll follow the care requirements of the item and won’t knowingly iron anything where doing so could cause damage. If there is any uncertainty, we’ll leave the item aside rather than risk damaging it.

What items can you iron?

Our ironing service is designed for suitable everyday clothing and household laundry, including items such as shirts, trousers, dresses and bedding that can be safely ironed.

Do you assess the carpet or fabric before cleaning?

Yes. Different materials can respond differently to cleaning, so we’ll consider suitability and condition before treatment begins.

Do you clean sofas and chairs as well as carpets?

Yes. Our Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning service can include suitable sofas, chairs and other agreed upholstered items as well as carpets.

How long will my carpet or upholstery take to dry?

Drying time can vary depending on the material, cleaning method, room conditions and ventilation. We’ll give you suitable guidance after the clean based on the items that have been treated.

Can you remove all stains?

We can treat and improve many spots and stains, but some staining may be permanent. The result can depend on the type of stain, the material and how long the mark has been present, so complete removal cannot be guaranteed.

What types of carpets and upholstery can you clean?

Different fibres and fabrics require different cleaning methods, so we’ll consider the material and condition before deciding whether and how an item should be cleaned.

How much does an after builders clean cost?

Pricing depends on the size of the affected area, the level of dust and residue and the amount of cleaning required. We’ll assess the requirements and provide a quotation beforehand.

Do you remove building waste and rubble?

Our service is primarily a cleaning service rather than a building-waste removal service. Any significant rubble, construction materials or trade waste should normally be removed before the clean takes place.

Can you remove fine building dust?

Yes. Fine dust removal is one of the main focuses of an after builders clean. Because building dust can travel beyond the immediate work area, we’ll discuss which rooms and surfaces have been affected.

When should I book an after builders clean?

Ideally, the main building, renovation or decorating work should be complete before the final clean takes place so we can concentrate on getting the finished space clean and ready to use.

What is included in an after builders clean?

The service is tailored around the areas affected by the work and can include detailed cleaning of floors, surfaces, ledges, woodwork and other agreed areas where building dust and residue have settled.

How much does move-in or move-out cleaning cost?

The price depends on the size and condition of the property and the work required. We’ll discuss your requirements and provide a quotation before the clean is arranged.

Can a family member arrange a move clean for someone else?

Yes. A family member can contact us to discuss the property, access arrangements and cleaning required, making it easier to organise support for someone else’s move.

Can you clean after all my belongings have been removed?

Yes. A move-out clean can be arranged once your belongings have been removed, allowing us better access to floors, cupboards, shelves and other normally occupied areas.

Can you clean my new home before I move in?

Yes. Cleaning before your belongings arrive can be an ideal opportunity to refresh empty rooms, cupboards and other areas that will become harder to access once you have unpacked.

What is the difference between move-in cleaning and end of tenancy cleaning?

Move-in or move-out cleaning is designed for anyone moving home, whether the property is rented or owned. End of tenancy cleaning is specifically focused on cleaning a rented property at the end of a tenancy.

Does the property need to be empty before you clean?

Where possible, an empty property makes it easier for us to clean thoroughly and reach areas that may normally be obstructed by belongings or furniture. We can discuss the circumstances with you beforehand.

How much does end of tenancy cleaning cost?

Pricing depends on the size and condition of the property and the amount of cleaning required. We’ll provide a clear quotation based on the agreed work before the clean takes place.

Can you guarantee that I’ll get my deposit back?

No cleaning company can guarantee the return of a tenancy deposit because the final decision rests with the landlord, letting agent or deposit scheme. We will, however, carry out the agreed cleaning thoroughly and professionally.

Do you provide end of tenancy cleaning for landlords and letting agents as well as tenants?

Yes. Our end of tenancy cleaning service can be arranged by tenants, landlords or letting agents and tailored around the property and its requirements.

What is included in an end of tenancy clean?

We’ll agree the scope of the clean beforehand and work systematically through the property, with particular attention to kitchens, bathrooms, floors, surfaces and other agreed areas.

Do you clean inside cupboards and drawers during a deep clean?

This can be included where agreed as part of your deep clean. We’ll confirm which areas you’d like us to focus on before the service takes place.

How much does a deep clean cost?

The price depends on the size and condition of the home and the amount of cleaning required. We’ll discuss the work with you and provide a clear quotation before the clean is booked.

How is a deep clean different from regular cleaning?

A deep clean allows more time and attention for areas where dirt, dust and grime have built up and for tasks that may not normally form part of a regular cleaning visit.

What is included in a deep clean?

Every deep clean is tailored to the home and the work required. We’ll discuss your priorities beforehand and agree the areas and tasks you’d like us to concentrate on.

Is this a home care service?

No. Freedom Cleaning provides domestic cleaning and practical household cleaning support. We do not provide personal care, medication support or other regulated care services as part of the cleaning visit.

Can a family member arrange cleaning for a parent or relative?

Yes. A family member can contact us to help arrange cleaning for a parent or relative. We’ll discuss the requirements, arrange an initial home visit and make sure everyone understands how the service will work.

Do you provide the cleaning products and equipment?

Yes. For deep cleaning services, we provide the cleaning products and equipment required for the job.

For regular cleaning, many customers prefer us to use their own products and equipment because they have particular brands, scents or products they like in their home. However, we can provide cleaning products and equipment for regular visits on request for a small additional fee.

What happens if my regular cleaner is unavailable?

If your regular cleaner is unavailable due to holiday, illness or another unexpected absence, we’ll let you know and, wherever possible, arrange suitable cover to keep disruption to your cleaning service to a minimum.

Do I need to be at home during my cleaning visit?

No. Many of our customers are out while we clean. During your initial home visit, we can agree suitable access arrangements so your cleaner can enter your home safely and securely.

Is there a minimum term?

No. We don't believe in minimum contract periods. We simply ask for reasonable notice if you'd like to cancel or amend your service.

Can I change how often you visit?

Yes. You can increase or reduce the frequency of your cleaning visits whenever your requirements change, subject to availability.

Can I pause my cleaning visits?

Absolutely. If you’re going away or simply need to take a break from your regular cleaning service, just let us know. We’ll pause your visits and arrange to restart them when you’re ready, subject to availability.

Can I cancel my regular cleaning service?

Yes. If you decide to stop your regular cleaning, simply let us know. We'll make the process straightforward and hassle-free.

Do I have to sign a contract?

No. We don't ask our customers to sign long-term cleaning contracts. You're free to continue using our service because you're happy with it—not because you're tied in.

Are your cleaners insured as well?

Yes. Alongside being DBS checked, our cleaners are fully insured, professionally trained and supported by our office team.

Can I request the same cleaner each visit?

Absolutely. Wherever possible, we aim to provide the same cleaner on regular visits so familiarity and confidence can build over time.

Why do you carry out DBS checks?

We believe trust is earned. DBS checks form part of our recruitment process to help provide additional reassurance for every customer.

What type of DBS check do your cleaners have?

Our cleaners hold the appropriate level of DBS check required for their role. If you'd like further information, we're always happy to discuss this with you.

Do all of your cleaners have a DBS check?

Yes. Every member of the Freedom Cleaning team holds a valid DBS check before working in customers' homes.

How much Public Liability Insurance do you have?

Freedom Cleaning maintains a substantial level of Public Liability Insurance to provide reassurance for both our customers and our team. If you'd like more information about our insurance cover, please don't hesitate to ask.

Are your cleaners individually insured?

Our cleaners work under Freedom Cleaning's comprehensive business insurance, which covers them while carrying out authorised work on our behalf. Every member of our team is also carefully recruited, fully vetted and trained to deliver a safe, professional and reliable cleaning service.

Do I need to provide my own insurance?

No. Freedom Cleaning carries its own Public Liability Insurance, so you don't need to arrange any additional cover specifically for our visits. Your existing home insurance remains your own responsibility, but our insurance provides protection for incidents relating to the cleaning services we provide.

What happens if accidental damage occurs?

Although incidents are extremely rare, we believe in being honest and transparent. If accidental damage does occur, we'll inform you as soon as possible, investigate what happened and work with you to resolve the situation fairly. Where appropriate, claims will be handled through our insurance provider, ensuring the process is straightforward and professional.

Are my belongings covered?

Yes. While our experienced cleaners take every care when working in your home, our Public Liability Insurance provides protection in the unlikely event that accidental damage occurs. We also encourage customers to let us know about any particularly valuable, delicate or sentimental items so we can take extra care around them.

What insurance does Freedom Cleaning have?

Freedom Cleaning holds comprehensive Public Liability Insurance, giving you added peace of mind every time we visit your home. Our insurance is designed to protect both our customers and our team in the unlikely event that accidental damage or injury occurs while we are carrying out our work.
